SAIL TURKEY

16 of us spent five days with Go Sail Turkey and did their East to West cruise. We averaged about 6 swims a day (amongst turtles, some days!), ate incredible food prepared by our on-board chef, drank at the bar on board, slept in the open air under the stars…… it was bliss.

We started at Fethiye and made our way to Oludinez for lunch and a swim.

We went on to St Nicholas Island where we headed up a small hill, wine in hand, to watch the sunset overlooking the bay. It was magic!

Day two we made our way to Kas, via Kalkan for a breakfast swim. Kas was a beautiful village, some nice shopping streets and a great beach bar we spent the night at.

On the third day we sailed to Kekova and climbed the hilltop to Simena Fortress for beautiful views over Turkey’s coastline. We also had ice cream at the famous I AM HERE cafe, which our Istanbul food tour guide recommended. The owner was an absolute hoot and their mulberry flavour was delish.

We headed to Gokkaya Bay for our last night, had a few last swims and a final sleep under the stars. The next day we made our way to Antalya to head back to London.

A dreamy week.
